I am Evelyn Ford, the organist at Faith UMC since September 1998. I enjoy playing the organ very much. I was taking organ lessons at Lindenwood University when I started this position. I plan a variety of types of music to play for the prelude, offertory and postludes. I find that most people enjoy music whth which they are familiar. I include arrangements of hymns for the Sunday morning worship service. I accompany the Sanctuary Choir at the rehersals as well as on Sunday mornings.

    I also work with the children's choir, "Kid's Tunes". This choir is made up of children grades one through five, sings the third Sunday fo each month. We work on learning songs from the UMC Hymnal and Faith We Sing. We have fun songs that we like to sing as well as those that are sung in the worship service.

    On the personal side, I have a husband, Roger, two grown married children, and six grandchildren. I spend quite a bit of time with my grandchildren. Our family enjoys getting together to eat and play games. I enjoy my family, music, sewing, and bowling. Being a part of a church family has been important to me all my life. I am not a member of FUMC, but as long as I am the organist here, it is my church home.
